Q. Do I need a passport to travel to Portugal?
A. Yes, a valid passport is necessary.

Q. Do I need a Visa?
A. A Visa is not necessary if you're a US citizen. Other nationalities should contact any Portuguese Consulate.

Q. Does SATA provide any special services?
A. A number of special services are available on SATA International's flights between the US and Portugal for a fee. These services include passengers with disabilities, unaccompanied minors, animal transports, etc, and may be requested through our contact number.

Q. Are meals served on board?
A. Yes, a meal is provided to all passengers. Some special meals can also be provided upon request.

Q. What is the weight allowance for the international flights?
A. The checked baggage allowance is 2 bags per passenger not to exceed 50lbs each and a carry-on bag not to exceed 15lbs.

Q. At what time should I be at the airport to check-in?
A. Passengers are required to be at the check-in counter 3 hours prior to departure for international flights.

Q. Should I reconfirm my return flight?
A. Yes, should there be any alteration in the tme table, we can only get in touch with those passengers who left a contact number. In the US dial 1-800-762-9995 and in Portugal 707-22-7282.

Q. Is there in-flight entertainment?
A. Films are shown on all flights east or westbound  between the Azores and North America. These recent theatrical releases are in English and Portuguese at no charge to our passengers.

Q. Is there in-flight shopping?
A. We offer a full catalog of in-flight duty-free shopping on all of our flights to and from North America, including, wines and cordials, silk items, watches, fine pens, toys, perfume, and tobacco products.
